NEW YORK, NY (October 17, 2018) – Last night, Kicked It In Heels honored acclaimed director and producer Malcom Lee and Nike executive Dawn Baxter at their sold out 6th Annual Benefit in honor of Brest Cancer Awareness Month. Malcolm who is most notably known for being the force behind historic films such as Girls Trip, The Best Man, and the newly released #1 film Night School was honored for using his platform to support the fight against breast cancer. Nike Music Marketing Director Dawn Baxter, was also recognized for surviving her recent battle against breast cancer.
The fundraiser took place last night at Café Medi and was hosted by The View‘s Sunny Hostin with music by the legendary DJ D-Nice. Attendees included Power 105’s Angie Martinez, Essence’s Dana Baxter, Alexander Wang’s Stephanie Horton and more.
