CELEBRATE THE LAUNCH OF THEIR DOCUMENTARY JEEN-YUHS: A KANYE TRILOGY AT SOBS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS AND NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN FOOTAGE
New York, NY – February 23, 2022 – Prominent producer, director, screenwriter and cinematographer duo Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah best known as Coodie & Chike collaborated with artist, record producer, businessman and fashion designer Kanye West to present Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy consisting of home videos, and never-before-seen footage shot by the duo over the course of over 20 years. The three part documentary unravels Kanye’s career from as early as 2000 when he was working on his multi-platinum debut album, The College Dropout.
On February 21st, Coodie & Chike celebrated the 40th anniversary of SOB’s on the same stage Kanye West performed on during The College Dropout. The event was hosted by former MTV VJ Quddus and shared with special guests J. Ivy, J.B. Marshall, Devo Springsteen, and Abstract Mindstate’s E.P. Da Hellcat and Olskool Ice-Gre. Teasers from episodes 2 and 3 were shared in addition to never-before-seen footage from the documentary followed by an intimate Q&A conversation.
Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy premiered on Netflix on February 16. Episodes 2 and 3 will be available on February 23 and March 2 respectively.
